This is a very sad and shocking incident that has happened a couple of days back with the little girl Zainab from Pakistan 😞
God Knows where are we heading to, we are yet to settle down in our minds with one case and there comes another one. It’s a very horrific incident that has happened with this little baby only 7 years old. She was raped and murdered and her body found in a garbage bin. Ohh my god it gives shivers to even think of it and these people or I will rather say these demons who did the act had no mercy at all in their hearts. 😡
Didn’t they even think once that she is just a very small baby of 7 years, who would be as good as their daughter 😞
I saw little Zainab’s picture in news, she is such a sweet an adorable child, and how would someone have a heart to even think of such an atrocious act !!!!!
It seems in this area where the incident happened, the rape incidents of children are very common, now it’s not even the question if it’s common or uncommon, why should even such one of a case happen.
Be it Pakistan or any part of the world, rape has just become so common. There is no value for human life and the best part is after it happens there is all the rage and protest, does this mean anything to the amount of loss already incurred. All of this goes on for few days and then it is back to normal, no reforms no measures.
While I write this I get to know of one more case a 15 year old girl got raped in Delhi and one more a domestic help being abused.
I remember the Nirbhaya case which caught fire through out the nation, but after so much also still in Delhi we get to hear of a rape case almost every single day, this only means that there are not sufficient measures being taken.
When the incidents happen, there are temporary outrages and then all is again where it was. There are no strict laws for these people and hence they take it for granted. Even if they are held up then there are the court cases which would keep going on for years and the whole severity is crumbled down.
My point is that do these protest and outraged actions help to solve the magnitude of this problem?
The Judicial systems are bringing in Laws, but do they actually work?
Why is there no environment of safety, rather than waiting for the rape to happen and then all the drama?
Its just so painful to keep reading and hearing about these cases.
I wish peace for Zainab’s soul and may her soul rest in peace. 😞
God give strength to the family for this unbearable loss.
And I pray to god that these culprits get their due share at the earliest 😡

Yes but then these are the hard facts of life :-(, Its very sad. The problem is illiteracy. When people in capacity can take up responsibility for one such person there will be some change that we could see.
@nainaztengra - I am truly horrified to think of individuals who can do this to a child. Why do we need stories from mythology when such demons are walking amidst us.
My head hurts when I try to think of what we can do to stop such things from happening. Any ideas? My wife and I try to support as many needy families around us to ensure their girl children are educated and protected but that does nothing to save children from such incidences. My wife believes that girls need to empower themselves with self defense and she actively promotes that concept in her sphere of influence but again, that is more applicable to older girls. What can we do to protect the younger ones . .. I will keep on thinking. One thing is for sure - in countries like India and Pakistan, we must teach our boys to have an inherent respect for ladies - no matter what and stop treating them as Objects of desire. Secondly - we must spread knowledge to stop such abuse from happening due to wrong beliefs about sexually transmitted diseases getting cured with such acts ( In many cases of child rape, apparently the rapists were trying to do that as a cure for STD!!)

You are right, education is must for the boys, but the major problem is our huge population and with that is coming huge illiteracy, I also relate this problem with the elder people in the family, somewhere their actions in their households create these demons. There are millions of children who have very unhealthy childhood, when they grow up there is so much bitterness in them that they want to vent it out somewhere. When I was in India I was working with the children in slums and remand homes, I could feel the rage in them because of their circumstances and they would pick up fights for very irrelevant things, they would not have respect for anyone.
I have a plan for future but as of now I am building up on my resources and working on it. I want to start my own centre to support these children education wise and in every possible way to make them better humans, but as you know there is lot of funds required, I am hoping that steemit will enable me to achieve my goal.
We will surely work out something together. I need one year time as of now to prepare myself for starting this venture. Thank you very much.
Horrible story. I have in the last few months stopped consuming news on a daily basis. Most of the news is depressing and the rest of it is trivial. I know that these crimes happen all the time, but I can't handle reading about it everyday. You bring up some great questions at the end of your post. Unfortunately, I think it is easier for people to do nothing. Also, people get desensitized to hearing about these acts. Another rape, another mass shooting... time to get to work.
Yes very true, either you get desensitized or you get more determined to do something to see a change. I dont know hoe much I can accomplish but yes I have my efforts on, and I hope that in future I can do my bit on a bigger scale.

The only lasting solution is a long-term one - raise your children right! Teach them the right things from the beginning and raise them to become better human beings.
You are very right about the raise your children right, but for a country like India millions of children are abandoned, they get on drugs at a very young age. There is no helping hand to them, which makes them nothing but monsters as we say:-(

My wife and I are planning to adopt a second child in a year or so. So at least we can save one out of all the millions :(
It's a terrible reflection on society that something like this can happen at all, but I feel this sort of issue needs to be tackled not only post event with greater punishment to deter - but also looking at what went wrong during the education of the offender so that can be tackled and maybe prevent future generations growing up with the same intentions.
You are very much to the point, people are not born criminals, its the environment that pushes them to be criminals. There is lot that needs to be worked out at root level, people only see the outside of it.
Some people are animals. When makes humans different is that we are able to make educated decisions instead of just relying on instincts. It seems many people dont seem to use our greatest human skill of choice.
They are no better than wild animals.
You are right, their acts are so inhuman, but I have very closely seen and worked with children from very backward parts, I feel sorry for the lives they have. From childhood so much bitterness is building up wthin them. Some are lucky enough to get help, but not all of them, they are just left on roads and they battle life all the way, education is a very far thought, they do not even have basic morale.
My intent is to help out these set of people so that when they grow up they become good humans.
News like this is shocking and sadly happening far to often we need to hope pray and act that something changes to prevent thiese types of atrocities from happening
It is the change we need to bring in. I always tell people that just dont feel sorry about these situations, take some action from your side in whatever way you can. The numbers are going up day by day and this clearly shows that while one part of the world is growing there is one side who are just going down in every way.
Yes we all need to help in whatever way we can for sure and bring an end to this
Such crimes occur all the time and all over the world, but I hope that such horrendous crimes will stop. There must be protection for young girls and the imprisonment of perpetrators so that there will be a deterrent to those crimes and criminals.

They will never stop, unless every single individual feels responsible about it. What happens nowadays is people read, feel sorry and that's it, or at the most join a protest for a day or two and then everything fizzes out. If that's the way, this society will never see the change

True, all laws and rules are on paper, enforcement happens at a minimal level which is the sad state every where in all aspects

Our kids need to be protected and the government needs to find this people and sentenced them to life in imprisonment.. young girls and young boys need to be protected.. thanks for sharing this and I hope justice Wil be done on this issue
While we know how the government works, we should also make an attempt to do anything from our end that can help create awareness and educate. No one is born evil, circumstances make them. Political parties cannot come out from their own interest and its a sad state across the world :-(

Sadly this is rife in our country as well @nainaztengra it makes one so angry to think children are treated this way.
Castration laws need to be implemented worldwide for rape, registers do not work, naming and shaming does not help.
Child abuse has become a common problem all over the world in some or the other way, some do it openly and some sophisticated manner. You are right some very stringent action has to be taken and immediate action needs to be taken. In our courts the case keeps going on for years and finally the victims family get fed up and give up :-(

Ironically, we come across such incidents all the time, everywhere in this 'pseudo-civilized' world.
It is horrible to think about it,
it is so inhuman, I think the whole nation is messed up, if Pakistan cannot manage it then I think other nations should step in and sort it out.
It is not only a problem of Pakistan, this is everywhere. Child abuse, rapes have become very very common issues across the world. India has a very number. I we rely on the governments then we will never see any change

The thing with this country and every other country with a high amount of rape cases always either go unnoticed or it just does not go through the investigation because sometimes families try to hide what happened to their daughter and that in itself creates a crossfire.
In India, there's rape cases everyday, most of them just get dismissed because of all the politics and corruption, and then comes the bribing and all of the JUSTICE as they call themselves, having their words bought cannot do anything at the end of it.
It is the sad truth as you mentioned that people have no value for human life. The quality of life in most third-world countries is ridiculous, and I definitely will add India to that list.

Well that's really horrifying... I am from that area where this incident happened... The rapist behind this incident is not arrested yet... and there is a gang which often rape little girls and murder them...
That gang is real culprit but the bigger culprits are the corrupt police and even bigger corrupts our politicians.
Every now and then we hear about these news and we also hear that the police politicians are backing them... what a horror to know that infants are exposed to these things and above all, there is no one to accompany them, no doubt we must know with whom we leave our children
This was such a painful incident that I was numb after it for some time. Still am numb which is why I just don't know what to say. Those who did it were even below monsters I guess. All I can think of is the beautiful face of that girl- how we failed her.
