Immortal Game - One 1-Minute Bullet from "Monday Bullet Tournament" + LiChess Analysis - 1/10/2023

in #chess2 years ago

One match from the "Monday Bullet Arena" (Monday, 1/10/2023), analyzed with the LiChess analysis engine. This is the first time using this engine, and am much liking the features (all of which are completely free). Also not EXPECTING any weekly ETH rewards - but if it is possible to NATURALLY reach "400th or below" rank (without extra effort, that is), the rewards will be used to buy more "The Unstable Horses Yard", "Ape Haters Club" and/or other cheaper NFTs on OpenSea and ImmutableX. Also, doing some matches WITHOUT recording, to increase the chance of ranking higher each week, by playing more matches. This also avoids sluggishness in momentum which accompanies producing the videos.

Been having some good success learning more about, and running, the matches through the chess engines, after playing. Also finding that the BULLET matches are easier (but different) to run through the engines, because they make these videos a bit shorter, and more manageable - but at the cost of accuracy of play. One of the most beneficial features of the chess engine is that it both helps to learn from mistakes, and it helps give a sense of the proper names of openings/tactics (ex. Philidor Defence, King's Opening, etc.) which ONE plays naturally (often without realizing the proper name of the technique). This enables ONE to then do further research on such openings and strategies, to build further skills and competence. This is surely one argument FOR artificial intelligence ;-? However, it appears that there is some debate about the ethics and effectiveness of using chess engines, which is a topic which will be explored in the coming weeks, and videos. Making some progress, daily, on this front.

Now watching the following video by "Chess Vibes" which covers all the basics of the main chess engines:

Beginner Guide: How To Use The Analysis Board On Chess.com OR Lichess.org - Stockfish Analysis

Also watching the new video by "Rage Quit Chess", where @cryptogee focuses on bullet matches (a suitable topic for this video):

The goal of this project is to document the PROCESS of "Play to Learn/Earn" blockchain-based gaming, while making a personal contribution to the chess community (online, and maybe even offline) ;-?
