OpenHive.Chat is powered by the very same software - Rocket.Chat
We are not migrating accounts because we would like to have a fresh start.
This allows us to use an integrated authentication system without complex and time consuming merging processes that most of the Steem.Chat users don't even want, need or care about.
While Steem.Chat these days is no longer as active as it used to be, it still has almost 90k registered accounts, delivering over 2,5k e-mails weekly. We will use it for preaching the good news about Hive.

Will this be integrating keychain as well?
Keychain doesn't support OAuth yet, so can't be used for now.
Fantastic stuff! So far, its indistinguishable from good ol' Steem.chat. I guess that'll make me miss all those fun times and happy laughters a lot less 🙃.
What key is needed by hivesigner to login to openhive.chat? Active or posting? I tried a hivesigner with just posting and it didn't seem to work.
Private Posting Key should work.
(Unlike some other services - OpenHive.Chat doesn't require you to add Posting Authority to your account, so Private Active Key is not needed. All that Hivesigner needs Private Key is to verify identity and of course it doesn't even leave the browser at the client side.)
Ok, I figured out the problem. It was an IO error :-)
I'm quite new so i'm looking for info related to hive and how it works and did read at some point today that hivessigner is not going to be used anymore but hivechain will continue :)
I haven't heard anything about it, any links?
