Yes they are beautiful, especially when they are new but I haven’t had the luxury of unboxing a brand new MacBook, however I do fix them. Sad that yours only lasted 2 years because they are usually very fixable. I have just bought a stack of old MacBooks, decommissioned from a school and they clean up nicely and sell for a couple of hundred each.
The first time I open a Mac I was amazed at the inner construction, layout inside and the overall quality. A pleasure to work on and most parts are interchangeable between models which is something that isn’t the case with Dells, HP’s, Toshiba, Asus etc. you can grab a Mac hard drive and plop it into another Mac and it will just boot. That is so cool. Anyway ENJOY the newness and hope this one lasts a bit longer. 🙏
