RE: Is Steemit An Empire, Or Is It Decentralized?

in #charityabuse7 years ago (edited)

I am not the most intelligent person so I will put it into simple perspective. If ten people donate time and money to construct a down park, do they own it? Should they get to decide who can use the swing set or go town the slide? It is important to understand some have put more effort into this platform and believe they have certain rights due to their emotional/financial capital into Steemit. I can say as a newbie (6weeks) this community is pretty diverse, also down votes destroy people pretty quick. So if down voting is so harmful, I would say that Steemit is not decentralized. If you disagree, respond with a rebuttal not a down vote. Always been whoever has the gold makes the rules, sounds like Steemit could be heading that way, I am hopeful things can correct.

Regardless of money... There are so many people here that are on here full time. Day in and day out. They have just as much say.

If creators of the platform were to come and say we want things to change, people would likely listen to them.

However what he is talking about is not that. This is one asshole with a wad of cash that will not even show himself purposefully hurting smaller fish in the pond to push an agenda that does not accomplish anything.
