- World's Greatest Shave - I'm very proud of my son.

My golden boy, @henryclarke is shaving his golden locks for charity.

Donation link here.

He was hoping to make it to the 14 inches they need to make it a wig, but the Adelaide Summer has gotten the better of him.

His gloriously maned 'Aslan' took out best costume in Book Week at school.

... and the long hair does look great on him, if a little emo. (Is emo still a thing?)

But it's much easier to cool off without hair, and I'm always keen to encourage his interest in looking out for others who are going through a difficult time.

All donations are very much appreciated, and liquid earnings from this post will also be donated in his name.

Please mention your steemit username so I know who to thank.

As always, have a fantastic day.

Thanks, Cool shirt. Well done so far on #holotrades, too.
We flyin'

A wig to help someone in need
A shave for charity indeed
the locks be grown to 14 inch
You'd think that to be such a cinch
costumed as Emo and book week
What more can we say or speak.
Just a fun and friendly post
Where donations are meant the most.

I very much enjoy your poetry, Troy. Thank you, mate. Henry loved it too :)

Great kids you are raising there Matt, caring, confident, smart and cute as a button, cheers mate.

For what's its worth, here is a 100% upvote for you. Good on him and we'll done

Thanks, mate. We're over $50 here, and $550 on the main page. By the time I sell SBD for $10 or so, we'll be close to $700 total. He'll be stoked.

What a little champion!!! Good on you for wanting to support others.

i think you have almost achieved your goal congrats on that very proud moment :)

Thanks, cutiepie :)
Yes, he breezed straight past the $500. After this post pays out and I sell the SBD, it'll be close to $700 Aussie dollars :)

wow the little fellow making some big moves from the very small age even i am inspired from him give some love to him :)

Henry! This is awesome! With a face like that, who needs hair?! @mattclarke, I love your kids.

I'm sorry. They're not for sale.
It's really done well; and encourages him to try things like this, just to see what a community can do.

he is cute!!

God bless him ☺👌

Everyone love cat costumes, always a hit :)

What a beautiful little, lion-hearted sweetie. ❤️ Love the golden locks and the gorgeous hints of red, but mostly, I’m touched by the kindness of his young soul. ⭐️ *side note — were it not for my newness and my nearly empty wallet, I’d happily donate to his cause. I’ll follow both of you and hope that — maybe someday — I’ll be able to chip in. ❤️

You'll do great. We both appreciate the sentiment :)

I appreciate the vote of confidence! I’m admittedly rather overwhelmed, yet bolstered by the idea of an online community that demonstrates something of the goodness of humanity. I realize there’s a lot of underhanded ugliness on here — just as everywhere else — but it already feels so much less oppressive than most forums. • Thank you for raising good humans. The world has need of their kind.

This right here, is how social media rides off into the sunset.
You'll see a troll from time to time; but you'll only see each one once.
They don't last long.

I’ve gathered that! Where else are people incentivized to bolster each other rather than compete — to be engaging and sincere rather than passive and snarky? I’m only 4 days in, but I’ve been reminded of how Friendster felt in its early days, when I was genuinely excited by all the new connections I was making. I suspect Steemit has far better staying power than all those fledgling SM experiments. At least....I certainly hope so!

Let's all find out together :)

Great photos btw. Love the macro stuff.

Thank you — for both the compliment and follow! I’ve got so much more to come. Stay tuned! 🙏🏼

You can definitely see a family resemblance. Especially in the underwater shot! I'm always against shaving long hair, but it's OK when it's for a worthy cause.

Yeah, he's certainly mine. My parents had two boys, then a girl, and I followed the family tradition.
Great kids though. I'm very blessed to be their dad.

awww he must be such a sweet boy to do such a thing! and yeah that is one awesome costume :D

Yeah, the grandmothers really came together on that one. His mum spent ages teasing his hair; and I spent an hour shampooing it back to normal afterward :)

hahah the behind the scenes details, so epic!!!

Geez, I dunno. That's some mighty fine hair right there.
Cleary he's getting that from his mothers' side :-P
Great job Henry. Ask for a mohawk and a rats tail. The hairdresser will know what you're talking about :-D

PS: I shaved off one year and it's so liberating. :-D

I had a mohawk of dreadlocks at 17. I shaved them off before I joined the Army.
Lets not give him any ideas.

you should be happy about your son..he is doing a worthy course.not
most of the children these days feel the same way.Im really happy about your son :)

Thankyou Claira. We are very proud of him :)

a beautiful boy with a beautiful heart :) may Allah bless him and his family for eternity :)

May our sons live in harmony, Tamurah. Appreciate your kind words.

Amen, and thank you my friend :)

That is a rad head of hair....is rad still a thing? 😏

I'm always impressed by youth who have a heart for people. And props to you too for supporting and incouraging him.

Thanks mate. My wife and I are very proud of all of our kidlets.
Rad is a thing as long as we keep it alive. If they don't like it, they can talk to the hand ;)

Rad is tootally still a thing. 👍🏼
