RE: Putting my money where my mouth is - A Community Challenge

in #challenge7 years ago

What a great opportunity for keeping me accountable for my own activity! After a certain point my eyes has finally opened: Steemit is another chance in life we have to stop thinking so much about the "ME" and start thinking about the "WE." as you say.

My goal isn't winning any prizes. I just embrace the chance to plug myself into a healthy workflow. It will allow me to gain a bit more SP and become the next @papa-pepper at a different part of the world. Because for me Steemit is all about spreading freedom, end poverty and change the world.

If I can count correctly, my entry is #23.

Thank you for this amazing comment and for sharing your goals @steemfluencer

The outreach on Steemit is second to none compared to ANY other platform. We can truly build a gift economy and I've seen it in action! Take a look at some #payitforward initiatives and people who have called out for help because they were seriously in a bad spot. Some are here to give and receive moral support more than financial support. Our veterans are a great example of this.

You can change the world one person at a time so let's see if we can't help you grow your outreach and your message. :)

Post #2. It's the amazing story of a man who's dream is to help others achieve their own simple dreams. Such people are so rare that sometimes I have the impression that he has jumped from the fairy tales. Needless to say that this is a #payitforward post.

The Two Sides of the Coin

I love #payitforward initiatives! I just left a comment on your post. Do you personally know this person? I ask because it will go a long way in raising confidence for a brand new Steemit account. I will do some research as well. If all looks legit I definitely plan to do a post for him too.

Hello @merej99 - please do plan a post. I hope you saw my reply to your comment under my #payitforward post. In case you've missed it, here's a link:

I've met with him last week. I've initially spotted a documentary movie about him at the end of 2016. I've always thought for a way to help him, but due to various life challenges I never had a chance to get in touch with him until recently .

I've joined Steemit last month and connecting the dots one night I decided that the opportunity to help him has finally appeared. I got in touch with him on Thursday, June 28 and met with him on the next morning.

He came at the central bus station, took me with his car and next few hours we spent discussing various topics at the so called 'home', which is currently a renovated former veterinary clinic.

I'm currently spending most of my time in Sofia, the Bulgarian capital. I was in touch with him for the last few days to coordinate everything and thanks God, I can rely on the help of another volunteer who lives in the same town.

Post #1. Fortunately we are sooner or later allowed to realize that what really matters lays beyond our ego:

Collect the Gems You Can Hold Forever

"Fortunately we are sooner or later allowed to realize that what really matters lays beyond our ego"

For some reason my mother came to mind after reading this quote. After my father died, no one else's grief seemed to matter to her. No one could possibly hurt as much as she does. Well, that's what she told me in no uncertain terms. And I responded, "Mom, you aren't the only one who hurts and grieves. If you just turn to us (her children) instead of turning inside, you might heal faster." Sadly, she's still turned inward and I've had to put some distance because it was getting toxic.

It could take more time, but I'm sure you won't stop loving her. At he end this will matter the most.

Oh yes, I will always love her. She's blood! But, just like I tell my kids, we have our good and bad days. We love each other no matter what BUT we don't have to like each other all the time. LOL It's a healthy dose of reality.

I'm adding #payitforward to my list. I've crossed on it in my first days here and the just forgot about it. Thanks @merej99! :)

GENERIC MESSAGE FOR @steemfluencer

I'm getting organized! Please include the link to future challenge posts here. You do not have to copy your previous links if they have already been added to the Daily Diary. Thank you! <3 Meredith

Post #4: I've really put a lot of efforts in the creation of:

How to Use the Pixar Story Telling Model to Write Your Next Steemit Post

I love the story behind Pixar and how they tell stories. I have not read this yet but I'm really looking forward to it!
And look at you! 4 posts down. 3 more to go to reach the minimum! Woohoo! Are you feeling confident that you'll make it to the finish line?

Post #3. A productivity related post. Smaller town = less stress = increased productivity and quality of life:

A Small Village vs A Big City: A Short Productivity Analysis

I'm definitely a small village kind of gal.

Post recommendations:

@steemfluencer, you have a great featured picture and an awesome title. The next thing to focus on is the first 100 characters of your post. This is the trifecta for helping your post gain the most potential views.

FEATURED PIC - FIRST 100 CHARACTERS - TITLE

And you want the first 100 characters to be placed before your picture citation.

Here's a screenshot of your post and how it appears to the rest of the world BEFORE they click on it. Tease us with a good bit of intro text and you should potentially see more traffic to your blogs. :)

Hey, thank you for taking the time to provide a feedback! I got it. Should have seen it by myself, however my attention was spread to other important issues...
