RE: Putting my money where my mouth is - A Community Challenge

in #challenge7 years ago

Challenge accepted. I want to thank you for coming up with this unique contest. I considered it as a marathon for the Steemit race. I appreciate the sacrifice that you make to finance this contest. I also want to get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself as well.

Not sure how clear is my screen shot, as at today 8 July 2017, I have 759 followers and the number of posts is 3009. Let the challenge begin.

I'm so glad to see you join in @positivesteem

If we don't push out of our comfort zones we will never grow. I haven't been as consistent as I want to be on Steemit and this is also going to challenge me! Let's get to the end together, okay? :)

ps - thanks for typing in your start numbers. I couldn't read them. LOL

I will see it through. I have already started with my commenting and will submit an article later today.
Wondering if you can allow flexibility on the 300 words requirements to allow users as artist or poets to enter. Could they perhaps submit one artwork or poem a day . Many a times a poem can be outstanding but maynot reach 300 words.

I actually did consider this and I waffled between 300 or 500 words and it's the illustrators, poets and photographers that helped me decide to go with 300 so they could feel included.
If a person is writing haiku, obviously jumping to 300 words may seem like a lot, but here's my argument...

An intro paragraph, sharing a tiny bit of their inspiration for the piece, and a decent conclusion should get them over 300 words. Think about the comment you just left. It's 62 words and you probably didn't even stress about it, right? Just something to think about. :)

I am glad that you have taken all these into consideration. I will do my best.

I know you do! :D

This is my first article. With an introduction, the article exceeds 300 words. In addition, the introduction I think add so much depth to the article. Tell me what you think.

I am really glad to see you post a link! I was about to chase you down. Your market photos bring good memories to me. And that guy does look like Vin Diesel! LOL

GENERIC MESSAGE FOR @positivesteem

I'm getting organized! Please include the link to future challenge posts here. You do not have to copy your previous links if they have already been added to the Daily Diary. Thank you! <3 Meredith

Great list of tools! I even got to bookmark one of them that I'd forgotten about. :)

And here is my third article. Thanks. I decided to write something totally different.

Excellent! I haven't had a chance to read through it yet. I'm still getting caught up with yesterday's posts and comments. LOL In my opinion, it's good to switch up content. Who needs those kinds of limits on creativity, right? :)

Yes, we need to switch so that our followers are not bored reading about the same subject matter. Variety is the spice of life.

Bring on the (scary) spice!

Thank you. I was trying to make my title not a click bait so as to comply with your conditions. Cheers.

Glad that I check the thread here. I have actually posted my 4th to 7th article but am not sure where it is posted. That is why I did not receive any comments from you. Here are the links for the 4th to 7th article.

I have a total of 233 comments still outstanding. And it will be done by this tuesday. Thanks a million for this challenge.
