@merej99, what a marvelous initiative! For me, this is about everything that makes Steemit such an awesome venue: Quality content, engagement, and mutual support.
I know I'm just on the very edge of being able to join here, but it's still 7/9 here in the Pacific timezone, so I'd love to toss my hat into the ring... I hope you'll accept my "colorchallenge" post from a short while ago as my first post... it's pretty much the only way I can sneak one in today; it does meet the overall criteria.

You got in with a day to spare and a lot of comments to do. It's not impossible though! With this monster I've managed over 250 comments in 2 days. Of course, showering was kind of optional. LOL

I don't envy you the task of keeping up with all this-- you must be very well organized!
For me, a large part of the joy and fun of doing this is getting to know so many other Steemians who "care about the content."
What's nice too is that every one of these guys (and gals) are putting forth a Herculean effort and I'm hoping the community in general recognizes them as quality content creators.
I nearly cried scrolling through the junk on the NEW tab. I will do everything in my power to make sure this beloved platform stays smart, innovative, educational, and still remain fun...even if I snag 1 - or 40 people - at a time. LOL :P
