We feed the people who live under the bridges. The ones really at risk. We fed 364 today, plus one pit bull

That's awesome! When we get the homestead up and running, one of the things I want to do is plant extra food to donate to the food bank. Stuff like squash that keeps for a long time without refrigeration. I thought about meat too but that gets tricky because it needs to be properly inspected even if it is donated and not sold.

If you plant a macaroni and cheese bush, you will be very popular, LOL. We had about 70 gallons of hot food, and they ate it all. They are good people, in a bad spot. Such a blessing. I'd do it more often, but I am not tough enough.... We put 7 dozen eggs in the salad, but it could have used more.

On the meat, most states gave a wild game donation program. Hunt, and donate, no inspection needed. Here it is open season on wild pigs.
