RE: Prepper Cook-Off Challenge - Three Days Left!

Hi! Nice to officially meet you too. If ever you feel like you're having 2 different conversations it's because I (Aimee) hijack also use Matthew's account to read, comment, and occasionally guest post. 😜 Our twins keep me pretty busy, which is why I don't have an account of my own just yet. We are currently in Edmonton, Alberta but will be moving about an hour south west of the city this fall. -Aimee

Cool! It's a pleasure to meet both you and Mathew. @knarly327 doesn't post very much but he helps me quite a bit (behind the scenes) with my posting efforts. 3 years ago, we right sized our living situation and have been renovating an 850 square foot home that we plan to add solar and wind power to. I'm not sure that we will be completely off-grid but we want the flexibility. We are preppers too...just not fanatical about it. We do a lot of preserving of our own food...so use a big-ass pressure canner to do these jobs because with that level of canner, you can safely preserve most foods, including meat.
I have 2 sisters (one of which is on Steemit already) @purplemagic. Both sisters have a set of twins. Runs in our family...when my other sister had her set, they were the 16th set of fraternals on my Mother's side.
Crazy!!! Don't you worry Aimee, it will get easier as your twins get older...so nice to meet your family.

Wow! We have so much in common. Well we were living in a tiny 200sq ft house that we built ourselves but have moved in with my parents while will build a less tiny house. With the twins getting mobile and the long winter, our space was just too tiny. I am so glad to finally see green grass and budding trees. We are planning to make the new house off-grid capable too. Matt has a huge pressure canner that I have only used once but am hoping to put into production here soon. Reading about everyone's homesteading adventures on Steemit is lighting a fire under my butt.

Sixteen sets of twins?! Wow! Thanks for the words of encouragement. Some days are harder than others but one thing is for sure, I love them a whole lot! They're amazingly smart and active babies! -Aimee
