After the HardFork 19, there was sudden increase in steemit potential payouts 💰. But since then posts are decreasing in payout of approximately 30% untill now and continue.
For example @jesta is upvoting almost every post throught beta.chainbb.com at 0.05% which was showing 0.17$ in payouts, but after three days it now shows 0.12$.
I have some questions to the experts and going to some people so they may targeted directly and reply my post.
Potential payout we see on posts are converted values of the Steem or SBD we may earn? Does that Steem or SBD remain same?
If i was earning 1 SP on one of my posts, and it was showing potential payout of 2.15$, but now shows 1.60$, but i will still earn 1SP?
Potential value of posts is decreasing but potential earning in SP or Steem or SBD will remain same?

All experts are welcome to answer.
The value is shown in dollars. The amount of steem is the same (determined by the steempower and voting % of the voter) but because the value dropped the amount in dollars has dropped.
I'm not an expert but I do have possible hunches.
The value of Steem has been going down and that may be related to the lowering of the payouts.
Since the HF there is now more incentive to participate. When more people are participating more people would have to share the pie. Further diluting the rewards pool.
I'll be waiting on what the experts would have to say.
So its the same pie we are all sharing? Are you sure?
Definitely sure. Now, I'll try to give more information but I'm not sure all of what I'll be writing is entirely correct. There is a defined inflation for Steem from which all rewards are based on. SPs given to witnesses, SP given to Authors and Curators they all come from inflation rate Steem is on.
For example Bob, Lisa and Jane are all members of the Steem community but Jane doesn't vote. Rewards are only shared by Bob and Lisa ( 50 / 50 ) so if all of them vote they would have ( 33.3 / 33.3 / 33.3 ).
Now this example is watered down to the basic level ( I assumed they all have the same number of SPs and I took out Curation and Witness rewards and so on ) but you get the jist right?
To be damned, then this platform just have a specific growth range, it can not facilitate millions of customers, but just few hundred thousands.
Oh it can. The value of the rewards is pegged to Steem. So the more valuable Steem the higher in Steem Dollars the rewards can be.
Steem was roughly $.20 3 Months ago and last week it was at $2 ( a 10x growth in value, so if we had the same set of rewards 3 months ago they would have been getting 1/10th of the reward than we are getting now. Likewise we would be looking at 10 or 100x more valuable rewards than now if the userbase of steem would be 10 to 100x from now.
You are right in another sense, but read all the comments and understand there is something we are missing, its not just steem price.....
That is not true. It is all about the STEEM price.
Because it stays the same and more people are joining steemit, the post-payout value is going down. But even with so many people you could see post-payout increase if the STEEM price would go up. :)
Yes. I agree to what you guys have said. Steem can definitely Scale.
Can you give me some official source link? What is this witness thingy? How to become witness?
You can read the whitepaper here
https://steem.io/#whitepaper
Being a witness is a tough job and you have to be voted to be one ( just like how a politician can be voted by the masses ). There is more on that on the Whitepaper.
Thanks for this link
Payments is decreasing a lot. That is normal thing. steem capitalization going down. But today I see dome growth.
Business as usual. If the steem price goes down, the rewards will be less worth. And if it goes up the rewards are getting bigger ;-) Nothing to worry about.
Observe and then decide, steem price dropped from 2.07 to 1.76. A total
Change of 31 cents, but posts have decreased to 30%. Pay attesntion
The steem price on steemit is an average calculation of 7 days ;-)
Thats worrying me more, because in past 3 days it is 1.60-170, while in previous 4 days it was still above 2.00.
What will happen tomorrow and and after tomorrow?
Leave the value of steem, does we earn the same quantity of steem regardless of value?
In my own experience that is nothing to worry about. If the steem price is low you will get even more SP because of the lower steem price and at the end a 20 dollar post from today will be worth much more. For example I had posts when steem was 10 cent worth for sure I got less sbd but the increase of the steem price made this post 20 times more worth ;-) Hope that helped.
interesting post.
2 SBD on randowhale seems ineffective now, I got a loss for about 1SBD.
For instance, I send 2 SBD to randowhale which has an equivalent vote of 2.5 SBD only.
I take the risk. So my potential payout is only half of 2.5 SBD.
Fun for a punt but so far i think i've received less than SBD or just about breakeven.
Haha I don’t take it seriously
Join me then, resteem the post lets find the answers
I am joining your questions! I resteemed!
The payout in dollar amounts is based on the average of the previous 3 days' steem price if i remember correctly.
Its down to 3 days? Can you please share the source, if not handy plz search. Thanks
@jesta your opinion plz?
Here is one: https://steemit.com/steemit/@shenanigator/updated-steemit-faq-part-4-payouts
