Seth Godin always has some pretty short and impactful posts. If you don't already follow his blog then I think you should.
Currently he is not on Steemit it but you can find his blog here. I know... you do all things Steemit now, but it is worth it. ¯\(ツ)/¯
The 1% Impact
He recently made a post called "What the 99% Looks Like". (Go read it. It is about a ⏱1min read.)
He brings up a great point in that post about the impact of down votes on our impression of value and acceptance in the digital world. I think the scenario of Steemit has brought another side of the equation. Down votes are less of an issue and the up vote and power of it on the post value is more of an impact. I think Seth sums up his post best:
In just about everything we do, 99% approval is astonishing.
Except online.
Because online, our lizard brain goes straight to the tiny speck, the little number that's easy to magnify.
Ignore it. Shun the non-believers and ship your work.
Ship your work. 👍
keep up the good work
