Last year, I found a place around our city where our most beautiful birds nest - colorful bee-eaters. On the ornithological website, I made sure that they started returning from warm countries a week ago, so I went to check them.
But they didn't seem to have arrived yet.
The first one I photographed was a black stork.¨
Loni jsem v okolí našeho města našel místo, kde hnízdí naši nejkrásnější ptáci - vlhy pestré. Na ornitologickém webu jsem se ujistil, že se začaly vracet z teplých krajin už před týdnem, tak jsem si je zajel zkontrolovat.
Ale vypadalo to, že ještě nepřiletěly.
První, koho jsem vyfotil byl čáp černý.
The next one I photographed near the nest was not a bird, but a hare.
Další, koho jsem vyfotil blízko hnízdiště, nebyl pták, ale zajíc.
Gulls camped on the lake. But the bee-eaters is still nowhere.
Na jezírku tábořili racci. Ale vlhy pořád nikde.
A heron even flew over me several times, but it was still not the birds I came here for.
Několikrát se nade mnou dokonce proletěla i volavka, ale pořád to nebyli ptáci, kvůli kterým jsem sem přišel.
I've had enough birds, so I took pictures of other flying things. Like a butterfly.
Ptáků jsem už měl dost, tak jsem fotil i jiné létající věci. Třeba motýla babočku.
And suddenly ... the butterfly took off and fluttered away. When a plumy lightning bolt shot down from the sky - and it was after a butterfly.
A najednou... motýl vzlétl a odtřepotal se pryč. Když tu se z nebe snesl opeřený blesk - a bylo po motýlovi.
Yeah! I'm looking forward to it. They are here! Colorful beets, birds that do their name honor.
Jo! Dočkal jsem se. Jsou tady! Vlhy pestré, ptáci co dělají čest svému jménu.
At the end of the walk, I still managed to take a picture of the bunting.
Na závěr vycházky se mi ještě povedlo vyfotit strnada.
