Now, I want to share some curiosities about raccoons, so you will have a new perspective of them. I like every behavior which they use to show and it is amazing to know the capacity of doing many things. We have some of them:
They eat different kind of animals like frogs and fruits.
Before eating they will wash its food. Beacause of this the raccoon is sometimes called a ¨scrub bea¨r because of the habit of manipulating food
It has a medium size and it can reach 55 cm and 40 cm high. It's a little bigger and thicker than a cat.
4.It is an animal of the forest:nevertheless, it lives near of rivers and it has learned how to survive bear of inhabited areas
- The name raccoon comes from Nahuatl mapach, it means "that has hands", due to the already described prehensile capacity of its front claws.
Esta vez quiero compartir con ustedes algunas curiosidades sobre el mapache con lo cual tendrás una nueva perspectiva de ellos. En lo personal me encanta su comportamiento que usualmente tienen, y es maravilloso conocer las muchas cosas que ellos pueden hacer. Acá les dejo algunas:
Su alimentación es variada, pueden comer desde ranas hasta frutas.
Antes de comer siempre lavan su comida y por eso se les suele llamar ¨oso lavador¨ por el hábito de manipular su alimento.
Tiene un tamaño mediano y puede llegar a medir 55 cm y 40 cm de alto. Es un poco mayor y más grueso que un gato.
Es un animal del bosque, vive cerca de los ríos pero también ha aprendido como sobrevivir cerca de áreas habitadas.
5.Su nombre proviene del náhualt ¨mapach¨ (el que tiene manos) debido a la capacidad de usar sus garras delanteras.
