«Baisers Cachés» es el nombre que recibe una película temática gay francesa del año 2016, que narra de una manera cruda el martirio por el pasa un joven de 16 años, quién es obligado a salir del closet y enfrentar burlas, desprecio, violencia y maltratos por parte de sus compañeros de escuela.

La cinta gira en torno a Nathan (Bérenger Anceaux), nuestro protagonista, quien se ve obligado a asumir frente a todos su orientación sexual, debido a una foto que le fue tomada sin su consentimiento mientras besaba a otro chico, quien sufre de primera mano el rechazo de su padre y constantemente es víctima de acoso por parte de sus compañeros, que están interesados en conocer la identidad del otro chico, intimidándole con acciones excesivamente violentas ante su silencio.

The film revolves around Nathan (Bérenger Anceaux), our protagonist, who is forced to assume his sexual orientation in front of everyone, due to a photo that was taken of him without his consent while kissing another boy, who suffers firsthand the rejection of his father and he is constantly the victim of harassment by his classmates, who are interested in knowing the identity of the other boy, intimidating him with excessively violent actions in the face of his silence.

Louis (magníficamente interpretado por Jules Houplain), por otro lado, quien asume el rol del chico confundido y con novia, de familia preparada, con recursos y cierta reputación, se hace blanco de la incomprensión por parte de los que le rodeaban, su padre, médico de profesión, se niega a aceptarlo, se refiere de forma violenta a su hijo durante los entrenamientos de boxeo y llega a provocar una temporal separación de la familia.

El filme difiere de lo que estamos acostumbrados o de lo que esperamos para este tipo de películas, aquí no hay aceptación, no hay apoyo, vemos de un modo más realista, y no haciendo alusión a los años 80 ni 90, sino en pleno siglo XXI donde todo no se ha resuelto con la aprobación de leyes sobre el matrimonio igualitario o protección a las personas de la comunidad LGBTIQ, todo lo que transcurre y por lo que sufre un individuo durante el período de aceptación de su sexualidad.

The film differs from what we are used to or what we expect for this type of film, here there is no acceptance, there is no support, we see in a more realistic way, and not alluding to the 80s or 90s, but in the middle of the century XXI where everything has not been resolved with the approval of laws on equal marriage or protection of people from the LGBTIQ community, everything that happens and what an individual suffers during the period of acceptance of their sexuality.

La trama finaliza con el campeonato de boxeo de Louis para el que tanto había estado entrenando y a la cual su padre asiste. A pesar de que se marcha sin decir una palabra da a entender que comienza su proceso de aceptación a su hijo, lo que no descarta que quepa la posibilidad de en un futuro no muy lejano lograr rescatar su relación con su descendiente y recuperar su familia.

The plot ends with Louis' boxing championship for which he had been training so long and which his father attends. Despite the fact that she leaves without saying a word, she suggests that she is beginning her process of accepting her son, which does not rule out the possibility of rescuing her relationship with her descendant and recovering her family in the not too distant future.

No a todas las personas les toma el mismo tiempo procesar cierta información, las mentes con respecto a esta temática de la sexualidad se encuentra en constante cambio y la homosexualidad, junto a las demás orientaciones sexuales se encuentran en un proceso de mayor entendimiento. No podemos esperar que los individuos que crecieron y vivieron bajo el erróneo concepto de que estaba mal cambien de un día para otro su manera de pensar, es un proceso que lleva tiempo. Es importante respetar el derecho que tiene cada ser humano para escoger por qué rumbo encausar su vida y tolerar y respetar a todo aquel que decida tomar un camino diferente.

Not all people take the same time to process certain information, minds regarding this issue of sexuality are constantly changing and homosexuality, along with other sexual orientations, are in a process of greater understanding. We cannot expect individuals who grew up and lived under the misconception that it was wrong to change their way of thinking overnight, it is a process that takes time. It is important to respect the right that each human being has to choose the course of his life and to tolerate and respect anyone who decides to take a different path.
