Actually this is opening the kiln from 4 years ago in 2013.
My friend Brian is here with me as we discover the 'jewels' from the firing !
This kiln is a converted kiln from electric to propane gas that I did a few years earlier.
This is a cheap way to obtain a down draft reduction high fire kiln, utilizing the structure of an old electric kiln.
Burner ports are added and the inside is adapted to allow for the gas flow aerodynamic needed for a gas kiln.
Weed burners are used which are 'cheap and cheerful' !!
We fire it to cone 10 which is around 2350 F.
