It's a fair point as it is hard to regain reputation once lost, unless you are able to flip the narrative. That said youtube stymied the growth of small youtube users with it's recent changes and this is not like a corporation where big users control all the market it's more of a plethora of content and reducing the soil in a sense userbase to a larger central nexus will likely backfire in the long run.
