DARKNESS IN US

Darkness has existed before the beginning of time , described as the absence of light and it is regarded as a symbol of evil in many religions and cultures.

Its unnerving nature makes us seek ways to remove it from around us using lamps, light bulbs, torches, flares and even candles, but it can never be truly expelled. the darkness is always present around us and even in us.

The balance of the world is kept by the coexistence of opposites good and evil ,cold and heat, birth and death ,light and darkeness.

The evil bearing darkness in our world is always lurking around us but during childhood we are unaware of it, the war begins on the brink of adulthood when exposed to harsh realities and then we see the world for what it is, in that moment everything we trusted and held onto is cruelly snatched away from us.

We fight to keep the darkness out, even though in this world there is no escape. we try to stay afloat and brave but slowly it latches onto us and seeps into our souls, putting out the little light we have.

we struggle for a while but being only humans and vulnerable in our nature the war is soon lost ,we give in and it chokes out everything good and bright. we are left broken, cold and hardened, with broken hearts and souls, with our tear streaked faces we watch helpless.

Unable and unwilling to see light ,we are numb on the inside, forever scarred and hopeless, we feel nothing, we become nothing but shadows of ourselves because nobody remains the same in the wake of the darkness.
