Hey everyone, it's another day again for the #celestialchallange initiated by @sirknight and today is about the forces of nature.
The harmattan
The harmattan is a type of wind that blows towards the coast of West Africa from the interior which is hot and dry. It could lasts for several months between November and march,wikipedia but due to seasonal changes it could be less like the one which occurred between the 20th December 2017 and 7th January 2018.
The harmattan is characterized by hot, dry air which is usually cold at dawn. it's season is the driest time in west Africa.
It also characterized by dusty wind which is called haze. This causes dust to settle on things around it. It also causes minor health issues like cold and catarrh and aggravated asthma.

Harmattan,the dustful winter. Eating eba has been so stressful because of the harmattan here in Nigeria, before taking two rolls your hand is already dried up and the catarrh & cold that the dust causes is just too much.

Good thing about harmattan is the dryness. Which is also the bad thing. As it does not mind drying everything. Lips, hair etc. Cold yet frustrating.

I do not like the harmttan period, because of the dust, dryness of the body.especially the lips.
Yeah, especially people like myself staying in the rural part of edo state.
I cant even put on white to leave the house beacuse of the dust.
