Yes absolutely. I would follow that up with what Yeshua said to his disciples:
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. John 15:12-14
Anyone who is willing to deny themselves and take up their cross bears the fruit from the tree of life!
Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 12:24-25
