Meh! Doesn't bother me one bit. I guess I really should have been setting aside 10-25% of my earnings in a more stable coin, so when Steem and SBD do correct, I can buy more. However, Steemit isn't just a job for me. I enjoy it.

And since I am not ready now, if ever to power down my account in full- Today is just another day for me. I am by no means a Steemit veteran, but prior to Steemit, I did have a Philippine brokerage account. The volatility wasn't as wild, but neither were the profits :)
Mentally, its always sad to see your account value or net worth dropping on paper; This is just a paper-loss, and doesn't MEAN ANYTHING, unless you panic sell with everyone. The only thing different between today and yesterday, is the news of Korean exchanges getting raided for tax avoidance. There could be a crackdown, but this doesn't affect us here.

'Tis the Sinulog season! Since I moved to Cebu, I have not missed a Sinulog yet. Last year I spent this holiday with my siblings, but this year it will be with my newfound friends from @Steemph.cebu! Funny how in just a span of a year, so many things can change.

Can you make some things clear to me as I am fairly new on Steemit? Steem is a decentralized currency and Steemit on the other hand is centralized. (As whales do make the decision who will succeed and who won't) So really my concerns stand here; Will the centralization of Steemit make an impact on the currency itself? If yes, then it will become another pump and dump I suppose.

Ok, so I do really need to clear this out or at least defend where I stand.

Use that definition and look at Steemit. Whales do make all the decisions here, if they like you, they upvote, on the contrary if they don't like you, they flag you.
So, the definition says power needs to be concentrated within a particular group, and it is; whales make a small, I would say tiny minority here on Steemit, and they do control it all!
(Whales = People with 100,000SP or more)
Your statement is factually correct. However, these people are whales for a reason, that usually being contribution to the platform, serious abuse of flaws in the platform, or market manipulation.

I am optimistic that it comes back soon. I noticed my latest post dropped from $0.98 to $0.88 meanwhile, I was earnestly waiting for it to climb to $1 before payout. Lol

Right now, you don't have to worry about your account. You have to grow your account value by creating content and powering up....keep rerolling the money.
I suggest you do 50/50 on your blog. Remember you we only get 75% of our blog earning the 25% goes to the "curators" the people who upvote your account. I'd like you to research about this. So you'll understand more.

Steem is still undervalued. And SBD is still overvalued.
The marketcap of Steem is at $1.1 Billion. Watching the price on a relative scale and comparing it to other platforms in crypto space, it tells us, that we can reach at least $5-10 Billion on the mid term scale (1-6 months). Selling steem now is a guarantee for regret.
When it comes to SBD one should consider that SBD is not meant to have a price over $1. So, it IS overvalued right now and the price is very speculative. I am positive this will correct on the mid term too, unless steemit puts on some hardfork to change how SBD works.
As for me, I am investing every SBD I get back into Steem. High SBD price + medium steem price gives me a very good amount of Steem to hold long term.
My Target for Steem: $10 mid term, $20-30 long term
Remember: Steemit is still one of the rare platforms that actually have a real working use case. Most crypto projects do not!

I did a 50/50 payout for my first couple of posts but at this point, I am so invested in this concept that I am very willing to pass on the immediate extra sbd now for powering up to illustrate that point so I can start being a more impactful community member to my fellow users through curation.
Having 50/50 payout is good when SBD is high. We can get more steem power rather than 100% when calculated, we will get lesser. Wise decision! We will hodl on to steem.
I agree 100%, and this is why I was mainly focusing on Steem and not SBD. SBD is supposed to be pegged to the USD, which guarantees post rewards.

By profession I'm an Accountant. I was digital Marketer and working as Freelancer since 2012. But since early, 2017 my freelancing career was declining. Industry was switching some other fields. And meanwhile I got steemit. So I have left everything - No freelancing, No marketing etc. In morning Accounts Job and After that all the time at steemit. Hopefully, you get the Answer @purepinay.

I believe in steem too so much. I believe by the end of this year we would see it at at least $20. That has been my prediction since late December 2017.
The good thing is, that it's 100% sure that steem will go up again.
The product is really stable and maybe the best in the whole cryptoworld and the blockchain behind is said to be one of the most scalable out there. Far better than Bitcoin.
Of course these things with limited supply of Steem, as most of it is in stored in Steem power let the currency fluctuate a lot more than others, but that's nothing to worry about.

Other alt coins is on red too this is due to china's move to ban miners in their country. Actually they want to kill all the miners of bitcoin. I am with you to HODL.

Thats fine, if it will drop to 3usd, I will buy more and power up. The posts should also bring some more steem when it is cheaper. The correction is necessary. We all know now it can jump suddenly and now lets find a new bottom and keep steeming :) I have lots of art to show to the world here on the platform.

In Korea, last few day was very funny. The government temporarily do not allow new join to the coin market and at last today there was rumor to close the coin trade. So, in Korea, almost 20~30% dropped for 4 hours but it's just a happening and financial department released its position. Never close the market then the price has been building up to again.

If one relies on earnings, I would suggest always taking a small portion out of every post, to hold in another coin so they do not have to worry about the volatility we have been seeing :)

Its really hard moments, especially for me as a new steemians. i did made 55 steem dollars on one of my previous post and now it has dropped up to almost 47. i really felt bad
That was my first biggest achievement cause i never used to reach 4 steem dollars.
Anyways, i still believe for the better, and not giving up. it want to make steemit my life, sharing everything about me, knowledge, experience, life, moments,....

It is hard sometimes when you make a lot on one blog, and the next doesnt do so well. It happens to everyone, and the worst thing you can do is lose focus and motivation.
No matter how much you earn, if you continue to reinvest, and Steem reaches new highs, you can multiply your earnings by that much :)
