Hello dear Steemians,
Wazzup?! As for me, I'm still trying to get over the fact that I just attended my first ever SteemIt bloggers meet up yesterday... another achievement unlocked eh?... Yepeee!!!
I originally had second thoughts on attending because I didn't know anyone personally except for @joancabz but thank you heavens, everyone was so warm and welcoming and made me feel that I fit right in.
I have never joined any group or community before because I'm kind of an introvert. Most of the time, I tend to shy away from people I just met and become antsy in the presence of unfamiliar faces. I'm used to talking and building rapport with different people, foreign people, in that matter, over the phone because of my background in customer service but I'm a complete failure when it comes to the face-to-face department.
Shout out to @julsmlz, the first person in the group I was able to rub elbows with. It was so nice chatting with you yesterday...
to @jassennessaj for this selfie, may this be the first of many... and of course thanks for my very first steemit pin.
By the way, I have to hand it to the organizers, the venue was to die for. Dolce Cafe', located in Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City, was nice and cozy with a breathtaking view of the sunset... It was PERFECT for interactive gatherings such as meet ups and the like. For more information about the place, click here.
Basically, the main purpose of the meet up, aside from getting to know each other in a more personal level, was to promote steemit in the Philippines, in Cebu particularly, and to introduce techniques to help active members and newbies like me to understand the ins and outs of the platform better and eventually become successful in this fast growing community.
Another shoutout to @bellatravelph and @tegoshei for making the discussion easier to understand and more fun for us newbies. Also, thanks to @purepinay, for dropping by the newbie's assigned area. I loved the "I don't want to be just a version... I want to be the original" line... and of course thanks for sharing some tips. Looking forward to more great reads from you. Special thanks to @fernwehninja as well for letting my niece borrow some art materials so she won't get bored while waiting for me. She enjoyed it though..
Overall, the meeting was great, everything went well and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
Do I hear PRITITIT already fellow steemians?!!! See you all very soon... mwaaahhh...
Always,
@feimandcharm
Great post! You come across as very genuine and your writing style is a joy to read. I hope to find similar types of Steemit Events in my area to attend this year. You are also a pretty good photographer, which is a hobby I am trying to grow into. I am glad to have come across your channel. I hope every second of your life is lived on your terms, my friend.
