Hello fellow Steemians!!!
How have you been? I hope you've all gotten enough rest from the Sinulog hype...
To those of you who do not know yet, Sinulog is a festivity in the queen city of the South, Cebu, where hundreds of thousands of devotees flock to practice their faith and show their love and devotion to the blessed child Jesus Christ, commonly known as Sto. Niño, through street dancing.
Last Saturday, January 20, as usual, people from different walks of life, wholeheartedly joined the solemn procession regardless of the gloomy weather.
I originally planned to start my Sinulog day early, however, due to the heavy rain I ended up leaving the house after lunch. Garbed in our Sinulog shirts, off we went. Our destination?... Fuente Osmeña Circle.
As expected, the place was already jam packed when we arrived and regardless of the drizzles here and there, people did not budge... not one single bit. Despite all that, the kiddos still managed to take a photo with the famed Crown Regency Hotel in the background.
After enjoying a few perfomances from different delegations, just before we decided to call it a day... went inside Robinson's Cybergate to rest a bit and grab something to eat...
Before I forget... I got myself a little temporary skin art... thanks to my very competent henna tatt artist @rodfranco88 (instagram)
Most people may have already forgotten it's real purpose, but regardless of the merriment and all the festivity feels, with our continuous efforts, Sinulog is and and always will remain to be a symbol of Cebuano faith.
Again, viva Pit Senyor fellow Steemians!!!
Love,
