Remember Jakey

I wanted to record my time with Jakey. It happens that it was his last day with me. He was found by his first human as a kitten in a dumpster with his tail cut off. Jakey's human became ill and was no longer able to care for him. He was an indoor cat. Well-meaning people tried to take him to a new home, but he escaped and was living outside in a junk pop-up trailer. My wife built a relationship with him while bringing him food. We captured him. Took him to the vet for a checkup and vaccines. Then he came home with us. Our current cat family, seven of them, all from the same parents, would not accept him into the clan. We then started looking for a family and found a young couple that was also caring for a cat that would soon go back to his human. Jakey is very special. He made me feel very special.
