New Guy in Neighborhood... 'Wakanda'

in #cat3 years ago (edited)

My cats, Haru and Milo has been living in my house in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia for few months peacefully. They were cats from my wife's family home, and always act nice and sweet to us. Me and my wife keep them inside house, and we also gives some food for feral cats wandering in our neighborhood. What a peaceful life!

But this week our peaceful life has been threathened by a newcomer cat. Let's introduce our new badboy in neighborhood, 'Wakanda'

One morning my wife was giving food for feral cats in our neighborhood, and out of nowhere this handsome badboy shows up. A large Angora male cat, very intimidating alpha male. Muscled body, dark grey hair with strong fascial expression. On first morning he kicked out other male ferals, and dominating our house area since then. He also challenged our big cat, Milo for fight (we did separated them).

Where did he came from? Who is the owner? We asked neighbors, but they didn't know anything about him. After some digging, finally we know that his owner let him strolling out every morning, and back to his house in evening. Since we don't know his true name, we called him 'Wakanda', because of his dark grey hair and intimidating expression to other cats.

His presence has disrupt our 'local cat geopolitic' forever. Fortunately he act nice to my wife, but he still challenging Milo for fight. Milo is the largest cat in our area, but he is not the alpha type, he prefers distract himself from fighting feral cats. But since presence of Wakanda, Milo has trying hard to show that he is the dominating cat in this area. How about Haru, our younger male cat? He always hide everytime Wakanda visit our area...

Now my wife have some additional task... Petting Milo & Haru, but also giving food to Wakanda every morning he visited us. And separate Milo Haru vs. Wakanda since he always challenging Milo for fight. Yes, 'local cat geopolitic' is very complicated, and we have to learn more about them.

This is our video about typical morning in our neighborhood since Wakanda came. Hope for peaceful life...
