In a ghost story there is a scene where a man is at a party, he is talking with his friends, telling us about how it matters nothing of what we do in this life, what, we are all going to die and our legacy follow the same fate, then a house lightbulb begins to glow intensely as if it were an explosion, but this is just a trick that the director (David Lowery) uses to visually show the anger of our protagonist (a ghost).
This scene is important for the film because it puts the next question in our heads: Does it matter what we really do? The answer, at least in my interpretation, in which yes, in the last minute of the film the ghost, after years and years of how time passes in the blink of an eye and having traveled in time, finds a note (legacy ) that old wife left in the house and is finally able to rest in peace, she simply made a piece of paper in which she had written who knows that, it is a totally simple and disinterested act but in the end it had a real impact on a be loved of her possible to find the one that needs to finally take the following step. So, does anything really matter? Therefore, what really matters is that we are going to waste our time, yes, but that, if it is capable of having an impact on someone, be it a friend, a relative or stranger, I can consider that as a victory, and that, that matters.
The end.
