Purpose of this Test
We are testing the acid resistance of four different concrete overlays. The purpose of this test is to measure the density loss by measuring the before/after submersion in 5% acetic acid for 12 hours.
Standard Concrete: Baseline
Our first step was submerging standard concrete weighing at 6.74oz.
Placing the concrete sample in 5% acetic acid resulted an immediate reaction. Observable bubbling and cloudiness occurred in the liquid. The sample remained in the solution for 12 hours.
Results
The concrete sample was weighed after 12 hours in 5% ascetic acid and weighed 6.21%, a 7.56% loss.
Four Different Formula Concrete Overlays
The four concrete overlays that are tested here are:
- ConKorite Concrete Overlay w/ Acrylic 6.82 oz
- ConKorite Concrete Overlay w/ water 6.73 oz
- AgriRok Concrete Overlay w/ GRAPHENE 7.29 oz
- AgriRok Concrete Overlay w/ water 6.26 oz
All four samples were submerged in 5% ascetic acid:

Conclusion
The AgriRok with GRAPHINE performed the best based on weight
