Shopping for a Luxury Car? Why You Should Invest in a Porsche

in #cars7 years ago

I recently wrote a post about why steemit community should invest in a classic Porsche, I know I will once I get some cash out of steem (still a long ways, but a man can dream, can't he?). Now it's time to look at why you should invest in a new Porsche.

Porsche cars are not like your average exotic car, they are still relatively affordable if you're good with your money, you don't need to be making Wall Street money to buy a new Porsche, you can start out with an entry level Boxster/Caymen. Even the 911 Turbo has a relatively affordable starting price, and unlike a Ferrari or Lamborghini, you don't need to sell your kidneys just to pay for maintenance. And the best part is, Porsche sports cars are practical, you can go grocery shopping right after you hit the race track and they're pretty reliable.

Signature Style

The most well-known Porsche has to be the 911, which comes in a variety of flavors, still keeps the iconic styling of the original 911. The styling has changed over the years, but the basic shape of the car is still unmistakeably the same.

With the exception of the 996 generation, which is the most hated 911 of all time, every other Porsche 911 is beautiful in it's own way, and as time passes each of the older generation 911's are gaining in value. Some people expect even the hated 996 to start appreciating in value, only time will tell.

New Today, Collectible Tomorrow

It doesn’t matter if you’re driving a 911 Carrera that’s brand-new off of the lot or a model that’s 30 years old; a Porsche is unlike any other car. The look of its beautiful styling and sound of its powerful engines makes heads turn.

Whether you’re a classic car aficionado or a casual admirer, it’s natural to turn and look when someone pulls up in a gorgeous Porsche 928 S4 with its five-liter V8 engine and pop-up headlights. From the 944 Turbo to a beautiful Boxter, the market for used and classic Porsches is hot. When you invest in a Porsche, you’re stepping into a vehicle that’s valuable today...and will still be highly sought-after tomorrow.

A Porsche is Practical

No, really – it is. Think of it: you want to treat yourself to a nice luxury vehicle and you want one with ferocious power. However, you don’t need to drive 200 miles per hour to pick up milk from the grocery store and you need to be able to tote the kids (or grand kids) around.

Porsche lets you have your fierce, rubber-burning cake and eat it, too. There’s no reason you can’t drive the car that causes valets to stumble over each other to park it while you also drive a car that’s safe, solid, and incredibly quiet on the road. If you’re regularly traveling with an ensemble in tow, the Porsche Cayenne provides family-friendly luxury. For drivers who need occasional flexibility, the Porsche 911 is small and sporty, but is also spacious enough that you can fit kids in the back seat.

Now that you have a list of reasons why you should invest in the car you’ve always secretly wanted, what are you waiting for? Go out and get it!

Classic

also it's german made so it's pretty reliable.

I used to have 1977 Porsche 924

It didn't hold up very well, which had to do with the previous owner. Eventually I got rid of it, because I couldn't find parts to fix it up, and things kept going wrong.

I love Porches! My dad used to own a 2005 Boxter S, it was so fun to drive!

911R is the one to have for sure. Check out my post earlier today about manual cars

But first, you need to have the money.

NICE!!!!

Some cars could be considered precious metals!

Great post, but i think these new cars aren't good investment if you don't count cars like LaFerrari or McLaren P1. If you want good return go for classic cars :)

I also have a post on the classics ;)

I love this porsche , nice post friend

Whilst a Porsche may be a good long term investment as the more rare and vintage units seem to go up in value pretty well.

If you had purchased an AMG GTS in South Africa when the arrived, you would have paid R1.6m and they are now selling second hand for over R2m. Talk about an amazing short term investment.

I totally agree with your opinion - except that the 996 is ugly ;-)
I know that most people hate it but i can't understand it actually. Yeah it is not the most beautiful one but exactly as you mentioned - every Porsche is beautiful in his own way, even the "hated" 996.
I love Porsche and i am seeking to buy one as soon as i can - hopefully it works out well :D

I've owned three over the years. Great cars. Why would I switch to an Alfa Romeo? See my post at carcamerastory! You have some nice photos.

I have and always will love Porsches. Personally if had the money I would buy a new 911 GT3 RS and just go wild.....

don't know why but Porsche is not a car that I ever considered when searching for cars. great post :)
