SUV. Here are the car companies that sell more.

The data of Jato Dynamics show how the German giants are in the second half of the classification: Porsche, Mercedes and BMW are not world leaders.

The fashion of the SUVs is now a striking fact that can be seen both from market data around the world, and from the lists of car manufacturers, from which it is now difficult to miss at least a range of sport utility.

From suv coupé to real off-road vehicles, the automotive sector is abandoning more and more segments like station wagons and cabrios. The Jato Dynamics study center has analyzed the market shares of the top twenty car manufacturers for global sale of suv, and there are surprises.

For example, the European giants Daimler and Volkswagen, with the ubiquitous Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes GLE and Audi Q7, are actually worldwide below the sales average.
Suv, here are the car companies that sell more

Worldwide, BMW's SUV sales are only a third of those of the Chinese Great Wall, although European companies are increasingly focusing on this segment.

At the top of the ranking are the Chinese manufacturers, for whom the high wheels are the focus of their ranges. The same can not be said of the Japanese and European companies, in whose ranges the central role of sport utility does not yet correspond to majority market shares.

This is not a problem: European and Japanese companies are leaders in the segment of sedans and sports, without neglecting the compact that still sell well in Europe. It should therefore be stressed that Chinese houses pay more attention to off-road vehicles because they sell mainly in China, the home of SUVs, while homes such as Mercedes, BMW or even Ford, can afford lower market shares compared to significant positions in other segments.
How many SUVs sell car manufacturers?

As seen in the photo, in the Great Wall the SUVs represent 99% of sales, while for Chang'an 67% of sales and 61% for SAIC.

In the Indian Tata Group, also owner of Jaguar and Land Rover, 58% of sales are guaranteed by SUVs, while the share is 56% for Chinese Dongfeng.

The first European group, FCA, is in eighth position, with 41% of sales reached with SUVs, mainly thanks to Jeep, while German companies are below average, estimated by Jato Dynamics to 34%.
