Today for the #100 of One Day, One Car let's stay a bit longer in Germany to discover this amazing model that deserves to be featured here, the one that made BMW known around the World.
The car? The BMW 02 Series
This car is also known as the 2002, due to its 2.0L engine that was presented to the World during the Paris Auto Show in 1969. But officially manufactured from 1966 to 1977.
The initial Ti version was either 101 HP or 120 HP, 2 years later, the BMW's engineers developed 130 HP implementing injection system. And two more years later they released Turbo version of 170 HP.
There were only 1672 units produced in Turbo version.
Did you know?
The 2002 won the 24 hours of Nurburgring in 1970.
The shown model was sold on the auction in 2017 for 12.5 BTC
