We also have these in my country...they're a bit of a pain when you're on a straight highway in the middle of nowhere and forced to go 100kmh :|

However, lots of people (especially sports car owners) just remove their front numberplate - which is illegal, but the police barely ever stop you for it. Speeding fine problem solved :)
