The Rimac concept one

A brief history about the Rimac Automobili company. It all started when the CEO Mate Rimac’s BMW E30 internal combustion engine blew during a race in 2009. The 1984 BMW E30 later became the first test mule for the company. The company was founded in Sveta Nedelja, near Croatia, Zagreb.

Now lets talk about the car.
It is termed as the first all-electric supercar. What makes this car so unique is that, it is been built from scratch. The parts and technologies are been developed and built by Rimac Automobili.

The car is hand made.

Lets talk about the Powertrain
It has got four(4) electric motors and each motor has got an independent inverter and gearbox to make up a sub-division powertrain for each wheel of the car. These systems have been engineered to control each wheel independently hence giving a better driving and handling experience. There is a feature engineered called the all wheel torque vectoring. This feature provides unseen flexibility and grip by controlling each wheel individually one hundred times per second. This torque vectoring simply means that the power generated by the electric motors are distributed in a way that all the wheels have traction on the road.

The front motors come with a single speed gearbox and then the motrors at the rear come with a unique two-speed double-clutch gearbox.

All these sub-systems yields a substantial amount of power. It yields power-1224hp, torque-1600Nm and a top speed of 355Km/h. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 2.5s.

lets talk about the Batteries.
The electric motors are powered by liquid cooled batteries that is designed to deliver one megawatt(1MW) of electric power during acceleration and absorb 400kW of power during braking. How wonderful is this tech. it has a low resistance conducting system. it has a rage of 215miles or 350km to a full charge.


the body.
the body is made of carbon fibre composite and this makes the car lighter and be able to achieve greater speeds. it has been designed to harness speed aerodynamically. it is a two-seater car.

The Interior
the interior of this magnificent car is just astonishing. The leather used is for high quality from Bulgaria. It has been hand-sewn(expert craftsmanship). the seats of the car positions the driver low and close to the center of gravity of the car, emphasizing the chassis information that goes through the drivers lower back and into his arms. This is just brilliant. The dash board too is made from scratch and hand made too.

it is speculated to cost close to a million dollars. ($1M).
in conclusion, it is a great car .i would be good for racing and normal day to day activities.
