Y-Pipe:
Both pipes are merged into one pipe after the exhaust manifold. This design is often used in V6 engines but also in V8 engines. Therefore, a better gas exchange of the cylinder banks can occur at low speeds. This increases the maximum torque. But the single Exhaust pipe limits the flow of exhaust gases at high speeds and the power decreases. In addition, the car will be quieter with a Y-Ppe.

Straight Pipe:
The two pipes just go straight and are not connected. The straight pipe sounds best, but there is no gas exchange between the cylinder banks. Therefore, the power of the engine is not increased and it cannot unfold its full potential.

H-Pipe:
The H-pipe is similar to the straight pipe. But unlike the straight pipe, the two exhaust pipes are connected through another pipe. It almost sounds like the straight pipe but through the transverse connection the torque is increased in the lower and the middle range. In higher speeds, however, the performance is not increased.

X-Pipe:
The Pipes cross and form an X. With an x pipe you can gain the most performance. However, the beautiful V8 sound is unfortunately almost completely lost.
