How was your weekend buddy? What did you do? Your colleagues or friends might have asked you these questions today. May be even you have asked them too.

Generally, we are not interested to know. We just ask them for the sake of formalities. Our body language speaks of its own whether we are honestly concerned, or we are just carrying out the punctilios. We never know what the other person’s situation may be. Our genuine ask might help him open up and share his emotions. Even we are comfortable with the person who is genuinely interested to know about our day, and we will be more willing to help him. Next time, whenever you ask your colleague about his day, show some genuine interest. In case you can’t, you got to fake it till you make it.

Similarly, do we really care about our body? We know things which are good and bad for health. Still, at times we end up doing the unacceptable, may be because of status symbol, because of friends’ pressure or for any other reason. We know, we need to do yoga or exercise for physical well being still we keep on postponing it. We have read in our school day, “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a person healthy, wealth, and wise”. But after being grown up, we have been living up with the quote, “Late to bed, late to rise, makes a person look smart”.

Likewise, do we really care about our dreams? Everyone person has his dream but most of us put off them. We don’t even take a baby step towards them for years. Maybe we don’t really care about our dreams.

At some point I too didn’t care about other person’s day and about my body and dreams. Some recent incidents, especially Vipassana has helped me look inside and know myself better. I started to have authentic conversations and have better attitude towards life.

Hope you have a reflective day tomorrow :)
