My first Hive-talk post to undergraduates

If I’m to give mentorship advice to ambitious undergraduate students to achieve greatness in their field of endeavor after their graduation, I will passionately and humbly tell them to prepare for their 6 months internship and make the best out of it.

The six months Internship for undergraduate students is the most underrated turning point in the life of so many students. This is the period that will link the classroom to the industry, the theory and its application etc It is the point to understand and build work ethics and culture.

If I will advise you, this is the point you need all the support of your family members both useful and useless uncle (as thought), your friends and your enemies.

The challenges you will face to acquire a relevant place for your internship is the payment of allowances, if you can accept non-payment placement, so many organizations will allow you to break into the industry. I know majority mindset, if they are not paying me, how am I going to survive, transport and take care of other basic needs throughout the internship? That’s where you need the support of your circle to propel you through.

I can equally assure you that if you place your passion ahead of your fear during your internship, the environment of your internship will sustain you either by direct or indirect pay, it will definitely.

With the right environment for your intership, with enough dedication, with right mindset and required attitude, it will be a ladder to your career success.

Instead of sacrificing your career future for a meager allowance in the name of looking for a paid job, take a deep reflection on where you will get lasting pay practicing your career forever. Very important!
