Splinterlands best cards to rent out

in #cards2 years ago (edited)

I will start off by saying that this list was based on my opinion, along with data collected from the splex.gg rental bot and from Peakmonsters. For those who haven't checked Splex out, I strongly suggest it, as it does wonders for you and provide a very lucrative card rental income.

Without further ado, here comes my top ten card investments for building a profitable rental farm:

10 - Gold foil Djinn Oshannus -

It's no secret that this card is one of the best reward cards in the game in every league. The gold foil version has an APY of around 50%, around the same range as its regular foil version. The fact game's roadmap suggests that cards with high CP will gain importance with land expansion and the Tower Defence Game release plays a big role in this choice, as GFL card liquidity is kind of low, and at this moment it takes some time to trade those at a good price point, plus the fact that "Djinn's" print rate has surpassed 60% tells me that this card is a good long term investment, as its price should remain stable or climb up at a steady crypto market.

9 - Quix the Devious

Historically, Legendary summoners have had some of the largest valorizations in the game. Although Quix doesn't look much strong in lower leagues, it does have one of the highest win rates in the gold league and above. With an APY ranging around 32%, grabbing a few BCXs of this summoner seems like a no-brainer to me. Please note that, with 5 million CL packs left to be sold, and a few legendary summoners to be unveiled, there is a chance that this card will go down in value in the short term, but dragons have proven to be a solid investment in the long run. Also, who wouldn't like to have a few legendary summoners?

8 - Light Elemental

Even though I suggest focusing on newer cards for their valorization potential, there are a few Untamed and Dice cards that are just very strong, usually, rent for a great APY (around 40% ATM), and are not that expensive, and Light Elemental is one of those. This card is very strong at lower leagues even at 1 BCX, which makes it very easy to rent out.

7 - Delwyn Dragonscale

I will start by saying that Dewlyn is one of my favorite cards and that I've rented it myself over and over when I played "wild". The "+ 1" magic damage just combines so well with some really strong dragons, and even with 1 BCX, you can cause some strong damage to opponents at higher leagues. Delwyn has become a very expensive card to max out, but with an APY ranging above 60%, it's still a great investment for rental purposes, and for owning a strong deck as well.

6 - Gold foil Djinn Chwala

As I mentioned before, acquiring some cheap gold foils seems like a great strategy, and the Chwala is for sure one of the most undervalued. For about 4 USD you can buy a really strong card, which is reaching its 70% print rate, gives you some cheap CP, and a great APY on rentals, ranging at around 80%. I don't see this card going down in value, and, to me, it's a must-have, no matter which league you play at.

5 - Tusk the Wide

There are a few epic CL cards that rent for very good APYs, at this moment, Tusk is giving me an astonishing 99% APY, being sold quite cheap at around 1.27 USD. For sure, it might go down in value, but it's already quite cheap, and overall it's a great card.

4 - Magi Necrosi

Another great example of cheap, epic CL cards that are very good to rent out. At this moment it's giving me 77% APY, and it's just too good to fear its large number of copies left to be printed.

3 - Djinn Biljka

This is just another example of a very cheap, good card to invest in. For less than a dollar, you can get a copy of "Biljka". They rent for a 45% APY (although it varies a lot depending on how many days are left in the season). Anyways, it's about to reach its 60% print rate, and it's a good time to start accumulating some copies.

2 - Axemaster

Who doesn't love the Axemaster? this is one of the most OP reward cards, especially playing at "Modern". I envy those who were able to acquire it when they were cheap, but even at the current price it does give over 30% APY, and it's a must-have in any water deck.

1 - Fiends

To me, any of the available fiends are great investments. 0 mana cards are must-haves at any league and will still be in a foreseeable future. For those who play Splinterlands since the beginning, Chickens were probably some of their best investment, climbing from pennies to above 30 USD for a single copy at its peak. I could bet that we will see similar valorization with our dear Fiends at some point, and, of course, they are also very lucrative to rent out. Ranging from 30 to 50% APY, it would just be crazy to start a rental account without some 0 mana beasts.

Well, that's the end of my list. Those are mostly personal opinions, please comment on which cards I missed out on my list. Those APY's vary a lot, so remember to get cards that are usable, good, and tend to go up in value in the future.
