26 858 electrified BMW and MINI sold worldwide in the first quarter of this year confirms the position of the BMW Group, as a leading global provider of electric mobility premium. This result keeps the company on track to achieve the objective of providing at least 140 000 electrified vehicles in 2018. Sales of cars and BMW, MINI and BMW iPerformance Electric in the US rose in the first quarter by 78.0% - 5 743 customers received such vehicles, which represents 6.8% of the total sales of the BMW Group in the US. A similar result was achieved in the UK and Ireland, where customers went 4 148 electrified vehicles - an increase of 23.3%. In contrast, in Scandinavia, every fourth car, the BMW Group delivered in the first three months of this year was electrified.
