Cannabis - legalize or not?
Almost everyone knows cannabis and knows that it is an illegal drug. But is cannabis really a drug, or has it been called "only" by humans as a drug? What about sugar? Is not it also a drug? What about tobacco? This is also a drug, a drug that kills many people.
In Germany is already discussed for a long time whether cannabis should be legalized.
In the neighboring country Netherlands, the possession of 30 grams of cannabis has been tolerated since 1976.
Since 1995, the regulations have been tightened and only 5 grams per person are allowed.
The age limit increased from 16 to 18 years.
Nevertheless, the politicians are not in agreement and I think it will take a while yet until something changes.
My question to you:
Do you think it is right to legalize cannabis and sell the cannabis under supervision?
Or do you think that cannabis is an entry-level drug and can not be legalized under any circumstances?
I myself used to think cannabis is a drug, as I learned it in my education.
My friends started smoking at 16 and I did not think it was good. But did not know much about cannabis back then.
Today I see it very differently.
People who prefer to smoke at the weekend rather than to drink alcohol, I prefer much, they are friendly, not aggressive and have a positive overall appearance. Alcohol is the opposite.
Of course cannabis health is critical to see. Neither alcohol nor cannabis is healthy, but it is also human nature to get intoxicated. But why is not legalized cannabis although it is known that the consumption of cannabis is less harmful than alcohol.
I could put up pro and contra now but I would like to hear your opinion.
Let´s go!
In my opinion it is outrageous that any substance is illegal, no matter how harmful for the human body. No government in the world has the right to forbid a human being to consume whatever. It just opens the door to criminality, black markets, misunderstanding, false information and much more.
Legalizing ALL drugs and create information campaigns abouth them is much more effective to reduce the consuming and create a healthier society.
Is cannabis good or bad? It's certainly both depending on how you consume it, how much and how regular you consume it and how stable you are mentally.
To be honest it was never about "forbidding their citizens to consume certain substances" whatsoever.. These bans were made to profit themselves and create economic rent on cartels that artificially pump up drug prices.
Marijuana ban was put in place in the States shortly after the prohibition to keep the DEA afloat afterall. Otherwise there was no substance to ban and the jobs in DEA will be lost.
Humans are entitled to do whatever they want and be personally responsible for it. Interventions arent sustainable and there is no way to draw a line.
You are right, I also heard this information before and it sounds pretty legit. I guess we are discussing the wrong question in this post. ;)
In an ideal world the legality of substances shouldnt even be an issue. Sadly it's not the world we're living in and it's run by governments that only budges under massive pressure from the populace. So I guess it's worth talking about it. In that bans on substances are outrageous and sugar/alcohol has fucked me up in more ways than cannabis ever will, why no ban on alcohol and processed sugar?
that is right. it has to be differentiated very precisely. Therefore, I think it's good that finally the medical benefit is discussed again
=)) i don't know it's good or bad. But i'm very happy because today Cannabiscoin's price is up.
