THC definitely has medicinal benefits, but what may have even more is another chemical in marijuana known as CBD. From what I have read, CBD is a miracle drug for various ailments (and does not even get people high), but the pharmaceutical companies have shown little interest in it cause they currently believe they can make more money selling people pills or more conventional drugs.
