I'm making some fpj for flowering 🙂. This is a fantastic and organic way to feed your plants the natural way. I'll lay it out in simple terms for you all. It really is pretty easy! These nutrients will store for nearly forever once made as long as you keep them in a sealed container out of the sunlight and in a relatively cool place. UV can damage many things including your precious nutrients.
INGREDIENTS I USE FOR MY FLOWERING MIXTURE: Carrots, corn husk and about 2 cups of brown sugar. Once you have your ingredients you will want to chop them up. I used a blender which works well. The reason for this is because the finer ground the organic material is, the faster it will ferment. Once you blend it you need to add sugar. The best sugar to use is brown sugar. Mix the organic material and sugar at a ratio of about 10:1. Let it sit for about 10-14 days, then strain the juice. This will result in a concentrated FPJ and organic flowering nutrient high in phosphorus, calcium, carotene and lots of other goodies. Amino acids, potash etc. Again at a 10:1 ratio is what you will want to dilute the mixture to when you use it in your garden. So 10 parts water to 1 part nutrient solution. This may vary depending on what plants you use in your mixture so start light and work your way up to stronger mixes to determine what your plants can handle. When you make your juice it is a good idea to have some kind of ventilation but not a lot. Some CO2 will be released during the fermentation process so vent slightly. I just keep the lid cracked on the container. As you can see I just used an old coffee creamer container. I like to re-use and re-purpose containers. There is no reason to pollute the landfills further with containers such as this when they can be used again and again. Just trying to do my part. You should too!!
Heres some updates on the skunk #1. This is day two of the flowering cycle and I can really see her growing with a quickness now.
Thanks for the tip!
