How I wish I was with you to enjoy the natural high of all your plant work and care. Even though that feeling is foreign to me. I would like so much for you to introduce me to to your world of peace, happiness, and contentment. And an added bonus of increased healthfulness for the body. Oh well.
I am so happy for you that the little sprout is popping out from the base of the stalk.

I know this seems odd, but most times, we would simple have composted the stock, root and soil, right after cutting. The only reason, I didn't do this is because I just didn't get around to it yet. In my tardiness, the plant decided it wanted to keep on living so here we have a sprout! It should live but we will see if it turns into a hermaphrodite from the stress of the SEVERE pruning...LOL! (I don't know what else to call that. )
