Summers here in Alberta are really short. So we need to take every opportunity to spend time outdoors.
Close to Devon, which is small town SW of Edmonton you can find nice little place to relax on warm summer Sunday.
I was impressed the most by Japanese garden which was planted by real Japanese princess as you can see on this photo.
We enjoy those nice and calm colours.
I don't know names of those two beauties, but they look really amazing.
It's obvious that they didn't plant those on purpose, but they fit in perfectly.
I'm sure that they don't need introduction and they serve also as a proof that photos were taken in Canada.
Have you ever see something like this?
And of course for the end: my favourite of the day.
I hope you enjoyed the nature. At least on photos.
Have a great one, my steemit friends.
Great pics man, I was waiting for your next post. I have been building up my power because of you. You gave me a big tip once for a comment and I need to thank you for it. I was honestly thinking about leaving steemit until you up voted my comment. Love your work cant wait to see more.
me i am also waiting for next post..cann't wait too much
Glad to hear that. I'm grinding here for almost one year. With 50000 steem power my vote was $0.02. It was so frustrated at times. Real dark ages. You're lucky now. Tons of new people every day and look at the price of steem. It was 7 cents for steem, just few months ago. Keep grinding, my friend and one year from now you'll be good.
How much power do I need for my upvote to be 1 dollar?
Sorry but this is over my head. Try steem tag or steem help. I'm not sure.
Since the recent hard fork and at the current price, between 1500 and 2000 SP.
Thanks alot
Glad that you had a nice summer day. The Dragon Fly was my favorite too!
Thanks for sharing! You're 100% right about those 2 trees, they are beautiful!
great,I like this so much the pictures shows how would you enjoyed there.Greenery attracts me so much followed and upvoted thanks for sharing...
You right. Specially here. Snow from 1st of nov. until 1st of may. White, 6 months. White.
Pics from my back yard. Thank you for sharing! You've been followed upvoted and resteemed.
Awesome pictures i love the dragonfly pic.
Nice post SteemOn
Fellow Canadian from the maritimes here, hoping to have some local pictures up soon. Our summer is a bit longer than over there, but it still goes by in a flash. What camera setup are you using? I"ve just purchased a Canon Powershot SX60 HS, picking it up tomorrow, then hitting the road for a few shoots. followed. Thanks for posting these great images :)
I have Sonny, nothing special and usually just set on auto like real amateur, hehe.
Very nice place ! Asian garden architecture is on a level of its own so tranquil and harmonious! When and if a get my own garden I would love to integrate some of this zen feeling into my life . Do you have your own garden ?
I do. But it's more traditional: lettuce, onions, carrots, beets, potato. And healthy too.
It must be awesome to grow your own vegetables, I'm gonna get a greenhouse in the future sometime and also grow some veggies :)
It is easy. You'll learn on a go. But also here on steemit is tag gardening. A lot of useful stuff there.
I have enough of those Canadian Grease in my backyard. They seem to really love the water retention ponds in Edmonton
They are protected, what can we do? But for photos and tourists are great, eh?
Some days I wonder how they'll taste. Must be pretty bad considering that swamp they swim around in
I eat wild duck once. Not good, I can tell you. Probably same with geese.
Ill stick to my swiss chalet then lol
That's a killer dragonfly shot. I wanna go to Alberta! One of my best online friends is from Edmonton, always wanted to visit. I'm heading to Niagara this weekend, I always look forward to hitting up our Norther brother's and sister's turf!
Summer is short. Hurry up.
I think your 2 lovely trees might be Japanese white pine, a very picturesque species. Great for bonsai.
Hello @oldtimer! I was waiting your post! You have made amazing pictures, although my vote is 1 cent i will show you my support with it! Cheers!
Don't do this. Help other people to grow up. I'm fine.
I wish I had much steem power but unfortunatelly I do not. I am helping as much as I can, but nobody helps me, but thats allright. Cheers!
Wow, very nice garden. This is why a good percentage of world population want to live Canada.
Until they hit to our winter, hehe.
Oh yes. Your summer is best for us.
So, in January, your average (normal) -4.6°C (coldest)-7.9°C . whereas, January is the coldest month in Bangladesh, when the average temperature for most of the country is about 10°C. So Welcome to #Bangladesh and our @schoolforsdg4 in January :)
I don't know where you find information about temperatures. This winter we had couple of days - 3o, usually it stays between -15 to -25. But we see also -38. I mean in Celsius, of course. You don't need a freezer, he,he.
We are going to die I guess. Our life time lowest temperature was 4 Celsius (positive). :O . Make Canada Great Again :(
Great spot! Good to have a green place to chill when the weather permits.
I wonder who is Princess Sayako. Those mushrooms gave me a sense of humidity... strange. Cool pics @oldtimer!
Thanks for sharing!
You can google about princess. You can see the date.
Wow!! Nice pics!! We have kind of the same thing here in Minnesota, but probably a little bit milder. The winters certainly are a different creature though!! When it gets so cold, every house and building turns into a little island of heat that requires preparation and determine to travel back and forth between.
Yeah, it's not simple. You don't want to get stuck in the ditch with your car at -30, for sure.
What a beautiful place. There is nothing quit as Grounding and or Balancing as being in Nature. It really helps to put things into perspective. You are so blessed to be able to benefit from this place and thank you for sharing the pictures. Even from the photo, i could actually feel how special and healing this place must have been for you. Thank You. PS, you have a very good eye for taking photos, you capture the moment wonderfully.
Cool.
Beautiful spot for taking photos. I hope you enjoy as much as you can this summer.
Haha, when I will have as much power as soon, I will give you some big upvotes. You already helped a lot of people, and you deserve to be helped too. Just wait for 2-3 more months.
Cheers from Switzerland my good old timer!
Signed, A Tamim's friend.
Thanks. I'll be fine, don't worry. Try to help other steemians and don't waste your voting power on me.

I've been here before, it is such a beautiful place. The river valley in the Devon area is very Beautiful as well, especially during the fall when the leaves have turned.

be well oldtimer.
Thanks. I also saw a red one, but it was to fast for my camera.
Love the good vibes @oldtimer. You gained yet another follower and hopefully future friend.
Seems like you had a great day out, nice! I like watching the trails caused by ducks when they swim over water covered in veg matter; there's a slow canal where I live and you can pretty much see what the 'duck points of interest' are just by looking at the tracks they create.
Happy Canada Day! Alberta looks beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Love the dragonfly photo. Great shot.
