I dont know much about canadian guns laws or the current social attitudes concerning them but here in the US its like 2 different countries. Ive lived in california for many years and getting a gun relatively easy with a 7 day background check but that is changing. In the past 7 years Ive lived in the dakotas and it really is a different country. There are gas stations, tool stores, and everything in between that sell guns. And guess what! Theres no mass shootings, no gangs running wild, and no politicial daring to say anything against the second amendment. I cant see these people in these states giving up this right anytime soon....it would take generations.
