The Eight Hour Cake is named for making it by steaming the cake for eight hours. The Eight Hour Cake is made from a mixture of eggs, sugar, milk and margarine, then steamed for eight hours.

While Maksuba is also made from the same ingredients as the Eight Hour Cake, it's just that the baking process is like making a layer cake but the layers are big so it looks very different from the Eight Hour Cake.

Engkak Ketan process and the same material with Maksuba only in the dough added glutinous rice flour so that the cake texture is more dense than the Maksuba and the Eight Hour Cake.
