Hello Everyone long time no post! It's that time of year and I wanted to share one of my favorite holiday deserts. Pineapple upside down cake made with rum. You can make yours without the rum, but it's just not the same :) . I use the recipe right off the Betty Crocker website. It really is great. I'll share my pics of when I made it below.
Here's the ingredients.
The brown sugar.
After melting the butter you sprinkle the brown sugar on top.
This is the mix of the oil, rum and pineapple just that goes in the batter.
Adding it to the batter.
The pineapples and cherries added to the bottom of the pan.
Pouring the batter.
Moar batter!
Before baking.
After baking.
And we flip!
Here I am adding some more rum.
And there you have it folks. A great boozy cake for the holidays. Oh and a tip. I like to leave my cake covered in the fridge for a day to let the rum really soak in. Hope you guys like it.
late to the party, but yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (m) ;)
