Beaches contest theme seems to be pretty general and easy accessible for many. So task was to find something quite special, like this shot from the top done at Utopia World Hotel in Alanya, Turkey

Sunny day at Baltic Sea coast. Unusual low shooting point composition close to this piece of wood to make it look huge. And even more unusual B&W conversion darkening the blue sky

This is a true beach shack life. Laid back and wait for your wave. That is a moto. I shoot this one on Tioman Island. Great mountains at the back and clouds are playing around, while the sun is doing its job. Warming the sand. This one was taken a few days back with Sony a6500 and 12mm Samyang lens.

I look at all these entries and I think they are 'all' honorable mentions. Truly, I mean that. They are all great stories. I can't imagine being a judge that has to choose from these entries! :) On the technical side of photography, I can see why the top 3 were chosen as they are perfect in their final presentation.
It is a little carrot dangling though ;) I'm glad the bar is raised so high. :) Pushes us to grow as photographers.
And I am very grateful for the honorable mention :)

^_^ You're very right about! All entries were great but as i told, all yours transmit a special and beautiful feeling. So please, still growing with o without carrot! :D hahahah
I understand u when says about being judge, last year was offered to me but i declined. I don't really feel confortable, in my opinion should be a lot more winners! :)
You have make me look again the three winners pics to comment about... cause of the feedback u know ;) (and please, this is just a personal opinion, nobody was/is/will be hurt with it, ok? :)
At the technical side i think could be a little better... First one maybe so dark but geometrically is fine. The second one (for me the best of three) could have the sun at the top of the wood boat post... in the actual position is broken the composition. The third one... seems a typical empty pic from the hotel window, with nothing special on it to transmit.... And for not being judgeeee, i did a nice study! :D ahahahahh

This one was taken in Thailand, Koh Lanta. My favorite time of the day - Sunset. Sometimes you can have some more spectacular views, and sometimes you have more dull one. But anyway always full of calm spirit in the air. This was taken with Sony a6500 and 18-105G lens.
