A STEEM PHILANTHROPIC STORY OF LOVE; STEEMIT-UYO CARES....A Steem-day of love, A Time of Celebration with the Foster/Orphanage Children

I'm sure you had mad fun on Valentine's day. It practically rained red and white on that day, i was really excited about Feb 14th this year because i didn't only receive, but had the opportunity to give; courtesy of Steemit.

Basically Valentine's day is a day to express extreme love. Happy val's day , I didn't forget really rather i got carried away with the aura of the day. Well, this day would forever remain special to me. I have always looks forward to visiting an orphanage home and I finally did, alongside my team; members of the the steemit-uyo community . It was an awesome experience.And of course, we did a count down, which was to help create awareness.

It was a day of love yeah? So we decided to show love to the oprhans, and of course, with some goodies.

Firstly, this was the market scene, where @vhebong , @annieben and i went to the market to purchase some items we were to take to the orphanage home while the guys on the other end, went to make sure we had a transit bus ready.

We spent about 3 hours in the market, making sure we got all we had enlisted the previous day during the admins meeting and we spent time to make sure all we got were consumable for the children so they don't fall ill. After this was the;

HUB SCENCE:

The take off point was the Steem Accelerator Hub, where we gathered together to take pictures and then be on the move.The bus was there already, all we did was GET THE JOURNEY STARTED. And we did. The journey down there was fun, there was practically no dull moments during transit. We had talks and gossips as well winks. @ekjosh was the cheif talkative. Less i forget, we were about 10 persons in attendance, as all other steemians in uyo had several engagements and were unavoidably unavailable. So, in attendance were @samuelwealth @samstickkz @anniben @xpressng @vheobong @vic-essien @enoye @emem @jeline @ekjosh and @peterwrites. You can now imagine the journey.

ARRIVAL AT THE VENUE

We chose to show love to the orphans because we wanted to show these set of people that there is a world behind what and whom they see everyday and also to let them know that they are the custodians of the love they deserve thus illustrating the tenets of decentralization.

Upon arrival, the reception was amazing. I never thought children could be so organized until these kids proved otherwise. They welcomed us with a song and in the song they expressed their utmost gratitude for coming to see them on that dear. the song also carried a word of prayer for us; their visitors. I was almost pushed to tears but i'm strong; don't you think so too ? You should wait until you meet me to confirm.

The guardians of the kids then permitted us to go ahead with the children. So we stayed with a welcome speech by @samstickkz. He addressed them, told them who we are, why we were there and what we were there for. We this, one could already read the expressions on their faces and could tell that they were excited especially at the sight of all the goodies. But we wanted them to know we didn't come just cause we wanted to give them all those goodies but also cause we care about them, Steemit promotes love and care and that we've got their back any day anytime. After this session, we cut the cake with the celebrants for February but fortunately, it was just little Happiness who had her birthday in February.

We all sang little Happiness a song and with @ekjosh spelling love, the cake was cut and we made merry. While the cake was being diced into piece and chunks, @samstickkz proceeded with the popping of the wine which was to represent our outburst of love and happiness. After the "pop" sound, we all cheered and then @ekjosh addressed them and this was to serve as our closing speech. He sounded like uncle Josh for and moment and the kids loved every bit of his time with them.

And then, it was time to go.
Victory was asked to pray for us and she did but Uncle Josh came to correct her after she acknowledged that every other person was better than them. He said this was wrong and made her under God loves us equally.

And that ended the story. Guess what was next... nahhh you guessed wrong. It wasn't food. It was

We took our leave and headed straight to have a good hangout after such successful outing.
