I think the shift you mentioned is absolutely necessary. It is very difficult to change user behavior to get them to go to you. It’s much easier to go to where they are.

Customer acquisition costs and lifetime customer value are crucial variables in consumer business models. When the customer acquisition cost is too high the model falls apart. Business pay money or offer steep discounts to change user behavior and create a new habit of using their products.

“for two years, we were trying to pull the masses to Steem. Since they have no clue what is taking place, that had minimal results. Now, the approach is shifting. Instead of trying to lure people to Steem, we are taking Steem to where the people are”
