Understand the potential sales of the franchise that has been "locked up" for the Japanese market only, the change of strategy and policies made by SEGA towards their semi-open-world game - Yakuza deserve a positive welcome. Beginning with the release of Yakuza Zero, which plays the foundation for Kazuma Kiryu's legendary story, then releases the remake with the latest two Yakuza series engines through "Kiwami", and the phenomenal Yakuza 6 cover story. The good news? With its growing popularity in the western market along with the sale of the Playstation 4 that has not shown a stop sign, SEGA is ready to throw more Yakuza series in the future.
It's not just about Shin Yakuza - the latest series with new and still mysterious protagonist characters until now they are prepared, SEGA also turns out to be ready to slide not just one, but three remastered process for Yakuza game itself. Is Yakzua 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 to be released for Playstation 4. All three of these series will gain reinforcement in the side of higher resolution, and of course, better framerate. This announcement was just thrown for the Japanese market alone, without any certainty whether it will head west or not in the end.
SEGA will release Remake Yakuza 3.4, and 5 for the Playstation 4 in the Japanese market. There is no confirmation whether he will go to the western market or not.
Yakuza 3 will be the opening and available starting on August 9, 2018 in the Japanese market, followed by Yakuza 4 for fall 2018 and Yakuza 5 for spring 2019. SEGA has not spoken the translational process for the western version. Interested?
The only thing that worries/puzzles me is that Sega will cannabalize their own sales. 3 Yakuza in basically less than 1 year (Aug 2018 to Spring 2019) seems too much to ask of fans' time. These are pretty much large "open world" games. Well, open-district at least. People might buy one and then decide to hold off buying the rest.
perhaps they are pursuing what they think is right
